ME MYSELF & MY QUARANTINE BLOG
I never imagined I would make a blog from being Quarantined. 🤭 I made a suggestion box for my instagram followers for some topics to discuss for this blog. I picked a few so enjoy 🙃🥂
TIPS FOR DANCING AT HOME:
+Stretch before any online classes. Online classes are 100% the same energy as a live class.
+Make a safe space for dancing. Rearranging your home and turning the lights just right is a small gesture to create the same space we get at the studio.
+I suggest taking online classes with an iPad/Tablet/Computer/TV... not your phone. Also connecting to a speaker system changes the atmosphere so much when dancing at home.
+ I’m doing to go ahead and assume this was related to the coronavirus pandemic.
This is a sensitive topic but I will say I do not believe this is a conspiracy. I believe that what is happening in the world is extremely devastating and a serious issue.
However, I do believe that some actions made and the actions that are being made in the world might have been exaggerated.
My best advice is that we listen to the government and the orders being asked of us no matter what we believe.I would love to hear other people’s thoughts on this?
+This topic made me laugh. My honest answer is men and woman have same rights in this particular area so I don’t want to even shout pussy power here. You choose what you want and there is no discussion after it.
PS- Shoutout to all the future corona babies. I promise I won’t call your baby that but I might tease you a bit ❤️
I am a very open person about my family but some secrets are too good to share😏Here are some fun facts that people might already know.
+I have 3 stepbrothers, and 1 adopted brother. I myself am also adopted.
+My mother is Finnish / father is American and I am friends with my biological mother. My parents also know her too.
+3 brothers live in states and 1 in Finland.
GOOD/BAD SIDES OF BEING A DANCE TEACHER:
+ I’m speaking from my own experience now so other teachers reading this might have different opinions.
+I get to share my artistry, my ideas, life traumas, and life inspirations. I heal and live life through my work.
+I work with students who are in many ways my own children. I get to build a family environment inside the work area.
+The impact I have on my students and that I know I’m making a bigger difference for their future is overwhelming but necessary.
It is an extremely lonely job to be an artist and to also continuously be the only one who must build that artistry back up everyday.
+Lack of Inspiration:
I stay inspired by other artists and I think that makes the dance world so beautiful. We are all alone doing the same things but still together.
What I have experienced, and also witnessed is that with success of anything comes people who do not stand with you. It is part of the business but shouldn’t be fueled. I am a person who is fueled by other people’s successes even though it can feel bad because you maybe feel you deserve it too but everyone’s journey is different. What you give is what you get.
THANKS FOR READING & HAPPY QUARANTINING! 🙏🏽
